One of the assignments in the class was to write a short story. Frank may be reading one of these (or maybe it's his syllabus for the course--who can remember).

Frank did not tell you what to do. He encouraged you to find out what you wanted to do.
He encouraged exploration.

The woman seated to the right of Frank may have been a Taliesen architect or the wife of one (or both). Frank invited various people to the class. Jack Vance was one. Various anecdotes of other authors such as Harlen Elison were also shared.

Frank is adjusting a small Olympus 35mm. For its day, it was a very small and convenient camera, which he seemed very pleased with.
